  Interesting day yesterday

  i have started walking every morning for twenty or thirty minutes.

  so yesterday i had to work and almost didn't go, but decided to get in a quick ten minute walk.

  i don't usually take my phone, but decided to take it, and i was so glad i did because a block from my house i came upon an older chinese man face down on the sidewalk and bleeding profusely from his mouth/face.

  i have been thinking a lot about the lack of support, judgement and criticism of teenagers in the organisation.

  i am dealing with the fallout of these policies with my two adolescents...i found this excellent article this morning which is worth a read for anyone interested in this topic - see the links below but first i also wanted to add my own bugbear, forgive the rant: .

  a key factor which isn't mentioned in the article is the 'bad association' rule and it's extended application.

  little_Socrates, they do not understand what a nightmare just shopping for the household can be like. Simple things like making sure you are buying "free and clear" AND this is not always cheap you do not find these items on the bargain shelf. Trash bags, laundry soap, laundry softner, laundry bleach, cleaning supplies, here is one you do not think about toilet paper, deodorant, shampoos, body wash, and the list goes on forever. In my home everyone must adhere to these rules with no exceptions, it is a way of life and has been for 40 years.

  I did the same with the magazines.

  All my friends are aware how serious headaches are so they will either not wear any or smile and say today is a no hug day and we laugh. But none of them wear a lot of it that it would bother me.

  For an example, as a homeowner I have hired electrical, plumbing and other contractors forewarning them over the phone that my home is a free and clear zone and going into great detail as to what that means. I cannot tell you how many times I have turned these fouls away and NO I do not pay their mandatory service call because you did not follow my explicit instructions of showing up fragrance free.

  When wearing fragrances you are correct it should remain in that personal space. the real killer is when it is worn so strong that when the person leaves the fragrance stays in the area. This makes things like elevators next to impossible. Think about places most people go without giving any thought, scented air fresheners public restrooms are totally off limits. Yes, a lot of thought is given to everything single thing a migraine suffer avoids through out the day.

  There is a long list of foods to be avoided.

  Actually I agree with the OP 100%, for those who unfortunately suffer from sever migraines fragrances can be an instant killer to every thing we do in life. My home, my lifestyle, my life 24/7 is controlled by what I can and can not do to prevent the next migraine. I take a migraine preventative medication most people who take this drug take 25 to 50 mg to control their migraines, John Hopkins Hospital found the correct dosage to be 200 mg for mine. So yes your fragrances to some of us are very toxic, very unfortunately.

  Grreatteacher that is to funny about that cat. I love Country Gospel and my mother hates it. She is a very violent alz patient and when I had to transport her from place to place I told her if you hit me I WILL turn my music on and each time she hit me the music got louder. She finally got the idea and stopped hitting in the car.

  Mandatory Reporters of Child Abuse

  all states in the us mandate health care workers and teachers to report suspected child abuse to law enforcement.

  this year our commonwealth expanded the law to include clergy, and to include a mandatory two hour training on what to look for and how to report, required for all mandatory reporters.. my coworker at the hospital said she and her husband did the training together, because her husband volunteers in the sunday school at the church, they required him to take it too.

  i asked several witnesses when this law came into effect if all the elders and ms are going to be taking the training and everyone looked at me like i was an alien and they had no idea what the heck i was talking about.

  I work with a youth group between the ages of 10 and 20. All parents are aware that all adults are trained to be on the look out for physical, sexual and emotional abuse and if we suspect any of the above we call the authorities to investigate. We are very proactive. If nothing is found we are very happy but we are out to protect the children first.
